It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the season of gifting! We think the perfect gift is the purple drink of the gods, but know that it can be intimidating to select the perfect bottle of wine for your recipient. This episode we give you tips on how to choose the right bottle. If that’s not enough, we have plenty of suggestions for wine-related presents to give as well. From your novice wine drinker in the family to your wine-o best friend who is always sniffing and slurping their wine, we have an idea for everyone. Get festive with a glass and listen in!
That is the question! It truly is for some of us who are in need of a furry friend, yet unsure if it is the right fit. This episode we delve in to the pros and cons of having a pet, as well as the different types of pets to consider (who knew a mouse could be a pet?)! Once you decide on a pet, we have tips on where to find your next best friend. This is a time when many of us are contemplating pet ownership (including one of us!), and we thought we’d bring the pet debate front and center. Why not listen in with a glass of one of your favorites and decide for yourself!
You may have noticed your favorite French wine has recently disappeared from the shelves, or perhaps that Spanish Garnacha you love is a few dollars more. This is likely due to the wine tariffs introduced last year imparting an extra fee on certain goods (ahem…wine) from certain European countries. In this episode, we clarify which wines are affected and why this tariff even started in the first place (what does wine have to do with airplanes?!). While we are all about ‘Made in America’ we do love those German Rieslings and other wines made ‘across the pond’. Grab a glass of your fave European wine and listen in to find out if you should be stocking up!
It’s a new year and time for a fresh start on all things wellness! January in the gym is always the busiest time…but this year brings us more unique options that keep us out of the gym and fitter than ever! From virtual classes to the latest in boutique studio workouts, this year is all about breaking the fitness mold. We talk the hottest (and we don’t just mean sweatiest!) in fitness trends, and even touch on what’s new in the nutrition world. FitVine Pinot Noir is the absolute perfect pairing for us health conscious wine drinkers – grab a glass (after your workout, of course!) and listen in!
Boobies…we got ’em, and we gotta take care of ’em! With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, we thought what better time to focus our conversation – and beverage – on the twins we’ve got on the front of our bodies. One in eight woman will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, a sobering statistic for sure. The good news is there are higher survival rates and technology that improves detection. Still, breast cancer is a scary thing, and we want to be sure our DBPeeps are informed and have a better understanding of how to support those affected. While drinking the Montes Twins red blend, we run through recent statistics surrounding breast cancer, preventive measures, symptoms, and resources that exist. So wear pink, pour a drink, and cheers to boobies!

Wine in a can?! While it may sound outrageous, the new trend is to can our favorite beverage for convenience, portability, and because it’s the hip new thing. As more and more producers jump on the canned wine train, we have been asking ourselves if we should join this modern movement. So to get to the bottom of the can, so to speak, we decided to compare every aspect of canned vs bottled wine, from taste to cost. We grabbed a bottle and a can of pinot noir from one of the biggest entrepreneurs in the canned wine industry – Union Wine Company – for our taste test challenge. Is the can too good to be true? Or is it the perfect way for wine to be a part of all our adventures? Grab a bottle or can (or both!) and listen in to find out! #pinkiesdown
What is DBP’s utopia? Wine Country! Though we love it, we know that planning a trip to wine country can seem overwhelming. In this episode, we recount stories and share recommendations from our trips to Willamette Valley, Oregon, and Napa Valley, California – like how to avoid getting too tipsy, how to select your wineries, and how to cut costs – so you can experience wine country like a DBPer, too.
