Could we BE any happier to have an episode dedicated to our favorite show, FRIENDS?! Your DBP hosts don’t need convincing of the appeal of this show, that hit TVs nationwide in 1994 – that means it’s 25 years old!! Even today, so much of what was covered in episodes still applies today, and we continue to find various aspects of our daily lives relating to a scene. Whether you’re more like Joey or Rachel, it doesn’t matter, because we’re sure you’ll find a connection in this episode. Break out your best, “I’ll be there for youuuuu,” and listen.
Happy National Wine & Cheese Day! We couldn’t let this day pass without lending a DBP hand in an attempt to answer the wine-drinker’s million dollar question – what wine should I pair with my food (or vice versa)?! Creating the ideal pairing isn’t quite rocket science, but it’s not always easy either. In this episode we share some tips and tricks for putting together a great pairing. There are certainly some guiding principles to make your mouth do a little happy dance as you sip and nibble, but remember: taste is subjective. We pop open a bottle of Savor Collective to accompany our savory discussion that certainly makes us salivate. Cheers!
Are you a curfew breaker? If you’re one of our listeners, we bet most of you probably have at some point! But, that doesn’t mean they don’t have a purpose for the younger generations. This episode, we discuss the history behind curfews, if they are effective (do they actually prevent youth crime or protect the younger crowds?), and do they potentially violate juvenile civil liberties (wait, what??). While we ponder the concept of curfews, we sip on the No Curfew red blend.
As the winemakers say, “Work will be work and adulting is hard, but we’ll be there when you need that reprieve. So kick off your shoes, settle onto the sofa, and sip away. Now Swirl, Sip & Repeat!” Cheers!

In the spirit of giving and helping the needy, donating old or “out of style” clothing always makes us feel charitable. But where do your clothes really go? What if we told you as far away as to Africa?! And that they were actually being sold, not given away! Wake up and smell the cash! We did, and decided to share with you all we’ve learned about our nation’s approach to clothing donation in this episode – everything from “fast fashion” to what you should absolutely never do with your old clothes! We paired this topic with Purple Heart Red Wine, a charitable wine to discuss a charitable (or maybe not, we will let you decide!) topic!
It’s time to get a bit nostalgic with your DBP hosts, as we reflect on some of our favorite wines and episodes of the past year. From new beginnings to epidemics, we’ve learned and covered a lot. We’ve had a blast this past year and want to relive some of the magic we’ve experienced. Interested in some wine tips we’ve learned along the way? Listen in! Can you guess some of our favorite topics? Find out if you’re right! For this special occasion, we’re popping the cork of a DBP favorite: Gamba Zinfandel. Thanks for a memorable first year, and cheers to a fruitful – get it? – future with the drunk bitches of DBP!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re probably aware of a recreational vice that’s quickly becoming one of the nation’s favorites. And no, it’s not wine (that’s definitely our favorite!), but marijuana (aka “the chronic” among many aliases). The marijuana craze has been swiftly sweeping the country, with the number of states legalizing the drug for both medicinal and recreational purposes increasing annually. In this episode we discuss the pros and cons of marijuana legalization, touching on everything from economics, safety, and even how it may impact the wine industry! You may leave this episode with a stronger sense of where you stand on the topic, or it may drive you deeper into the Chronic Conundrum! So grab a bottle of Purple Paradise by Chronic Cellars (yes, that is pure wine), tune in and decide for yourself!
Time to make a deal! With yourself, of course! It’s a New Year, which means new beginnings and resolutions. This episode we discuss the tradition of New Year’s resolutions, how to set meaningful goals for yourself, and tactics to making them stick! What better way to start a New Year than by drinking the California red, DealMaker, mostly composed of Old Vine Zinfandel, a DBP favorite! Even the winemaker, Jeff Cohn, has some words of wisdom for 2019…”Relax: It’s 2019!”
Black cat cross your path? Or perhaps you spot a spider on Halloween? Listen in to this DBP Special Release Halloween episode, as we discuss what these omens mean and other spooky superstitions while sipping on Omen Red Blend from the Sierra Foothills. We also get into the history behind Halloween traditions, like where Jack-O-Lanterns originated and why you might want to make sure you light a candle in yours this year! Turn your lights down, put your witch’s (aka crone’s) hat on, pop open a bottle, and get spooky with DBP!

“Here, there, and everywhere,” to quote a great song. Episode 2 explores each of our pasts, gathering what we’ve learned and experienced from “here and there,” the translation of our wine’s name, we keep the wine flowing, and our stories too! So pop open the 2015 Saldo Zinfandel from The Prisoner Wine Company, and pour along!
